Job Title: OEM Sales Manager
 
Location: Midlands & North (National coverage)
 
Salary: up to 55K (DOE)
 
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven OEM Sales Manager to represent and sell our Multiload Spectrum product range to lighting companies, buying groups, and wholesalers across the UK. This is a key role to grow our market presence, especially focusing on the Midlands and Scotland. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, understanding their needs, and negotiating contracts and pricing for our innovative product solutions.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Business Development: Actively seek and generate new business opportunities within the lighting industry and buying groups/wholesalers, ensuring continuous growth and development of the product range.
• Relationship Management: Leverage your existing network and build new relationships with lighting companies, wholesalers, and key decision-makers to drive the sales of the Multiload Spectrum range.
• Negotiation & Contract Management: Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Market Insight: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for product promotion and improvement.
• Product Knowledge: Have a deep understanding of the Spectrum product and its unique value proposition, including its ease of use and compliance with Part L Building Regulations for lighting control in smaller local projects (e.g., schools, offices, and residential).
• Sales Target Achievement: Organize and manage your time effectively to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. Deliver sales results through a structured and disciplined approach to planning and reporting.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven Sales Track Record: A strong history of success in sales, ideally within the lighting or electrical industry, with a focus on OEM products or similar technology solutions.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with lighting control systems, building regulations (specifically Part L), and the technical requirements for smaller local projects.
• Relationship Building: Existing relationships within the lighting industry or buying groups/wholesalers would be a significant advantage.
• Self-Motivated: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage your workload independently and achieve set targets with minimal supervision.
• Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure sales and maximize profitability.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to a non-technical audience.

About Spectrum:
 
The Multiload Spectrum is designed for smaller local projects such as school classrooms, offices, and residential spaces, where complex system monitoring isn’t required. The product helps meet Part L of the Building Regulations, which mandates some form of lighting control. The beauty of Spectrum is its ease of installation—installers can set it up without requiring a commissioning engineer, using Hex Switches and Group Selectors. This makes it an affordable and practical solution for the wider market.
