As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing business opportunities within the current customer bases as well as developing new opportunities primarily with Electrical Contractors in London and the SE
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales, revenue growth, and market share. Your primary focus will be on exploring new avenues for business expansion building strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy in alignment with the company's overall objectives. Identify new potential customers in targeted markets and emerging trends to position the company competitively.
* Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential growth opportunities, competitor landscapes, and industry trends. Utilise this information to shape business strategies and KPI’s.
* Sales and Revenue Generation:
Drive sales initiatives by effectively managing the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to order closure. Collaborate with the product Manager and Sales Director to achieve revenue targets and build a robust sales pipeline.
* Client Relationship Management:
Identify and secure new client partnerships to expand the customer base and cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
* Proposal and Contract Management:
Prepare persuasive proposals and negotiate contracts that align with both the company's interests and client requirements. Review and validate legal agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks.
* Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with various internal teams, including Product management, marketing, and operations, to develop compelling and competitive solutions for clients. Ensure smooth communication and coordination between departments to achieve common business goals.
* Industry Networking:
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company, establish valuable contacts, and gather market intelligence.
