About the team
Our national Learning & Development team is responsible for a range of learning and development programs, projects and services to support skills development across the firm. While there is a strategic focus on framework and program development, the team also pays close attention to delivering business as usual activities well.
About the role
We have an opportunity for a Learning & Development (L&D) Manager to join our Practice Quality & Risk group within our firm. We are at an exciting time in the growth and development of our L&D function and we are therefore seeking someone with the experience and vision to grow our current offering.
Reporting to and working closely with our Head of Practice Quality & Risk, and closely supported by a high performing L&D Co-ordinator, you will lead the national L&D function and play a key role in developing our people.
Key areas of responsibility are:
- Understanding individual and group requirements through proactive engagement, gap analysis and collaboration across the firm
- Designing and delivering programs tailored to specific needs, audiences and performance development outcomes
- Managing core L&D activities such as induction, cohort development and coaching programs, CPD compliance and compliance training
- Using and refining the firm’s learning management system (LMS) to channel targeted learning solutions and supporting the effective use of the system across the firm
- Managing and developing the L&D team and leading L&D initiatives, including learning framework development and implementation.
Given the team works across our offices we are open to candidates being located in either our Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane office.
Whilst our ideal is for someone to work on a full-time basis we will consider 4 days a week for those seeking flexibility.
About you You will have gained experience in L&D with the following being essential:
- Learning and development experience gained at a managerial or senior advisor level in a professional services environment. We have a strong preference for law firm experience
- Genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to exceptional service delivery
- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with a focus on delivering outcomes
