We’re partnering with the ground-breaking humans at Microba, a medtech scale-up based right here in Brissy, who are transforming lives through microbiome science (yep - that gut stuff you’ve been hearing about? They’re leading the charge).
 
Their vision? A world where health is transformed through a deep understanding of the microbiome. Their mission? Pioneering health solutions that work. And now? They’re on the lookout for TWO full-stack software engineers - one mid-level, one senior - who are ready to roll up their sleeves and code products that actually change lives.
 
What’s the squad up to?
 
You’ll join an intelligent, high-trust squad working on the practitioner and patient experience - think onboarding flows, custom-built portals, and the journey from “I think I need a test” to “Here’s what’s going on in your gut.”
This is not a fix-the-widgets type gig. This is a core product squad with ownership, voice, and the chance to influence how health solutions are built, shipped, and scaled. You’ll be building experiences that practitioners and patients actually want to use - intuitive, delightful, and 100% fit for purpose.
 
Here’s the lowdown on the tech:

• Frontend: Vue 3 + TypeScript (migrating from Vue 2). Strong React devs open to switching? Welcome.
• Backend: JVM-based (Kotlin, Java) with MariaDB/MySQL.
• Infra & Ops: AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes. Full-stack means owning your own deployments.
• Product culture: Cross-functional, high-autonomy, customer-focused. You’ll be tight with PMs, designers, and other devs - and encouraged to bring ideas to the table.

Whether you’re a seasoned senior who can own features end-to-end and mentor like a legend—or a mid-level dev ready to step up, this is your chance to work on a product with a real-world impact.
 
First few projects you’ll sink your teeth into:

• Rebuilding the onboarding experience for practitioners (buh-bye clunky CRM forms ��).
• Architecting a patient portal from scratch.
• Streamlining the patient-practitioner journey so it actually makes sense.
• Working closely with PMs to test ideas, validate flows, and ship smart.

What we’re looking for in YOU:
 
Let’s keep it real - there’s no perfect dev. But if you tick most of these boxes? We want to hear from you.

• 6+ years (senior) of hands-on software development experience.
• You’re comfy across the stack, with particular strength in frontend (Vue, React, TypeScript) and solid chops in JVM languages (Kotlin preferred).
• AWS is familiar territory, and you know your way around Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and writing infrastructure as code.
• You build with security in mind - from auth flows to data protection best practices.
• Bonus points if you’ve worked in healthtech, medtech, or on software-as-a-medical-device. If you understand genomics, bioinformatics, or microbiology? Even cooler.
