Beauty Lecturer – Temporary Role
Location: Tyne & Wear (North East England) — at an Ofsted‑rated college
Position: Temporary / Contingent Lecturer — Beauty (Level 2)
Salary: Competitive (PAYE)
About the Role
Think FE is excited to partner with an Ofsted‑rated further‑education college in Tyne & Wear seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Beauty Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of students working toward Level 2 Beauty qualifications, covering practical and theory-based sessions in a supportive FE setting.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and assessment for Level 2 Beauty qualification courses.
- Planning and preparing engaging lessons, learning materials, and practical demonstrations.
- Delivering on Tuesdays and Thursdays:
- Tuesdays: 09:00 – 17:15
- Thursdays: 10:00 – 18:30 (with additional sessions included as needed)
- Providing industry-relevant knowledge and guidance based on practical beauty industry experience.
- Supporting learners’ progress, maintaining records, and liaising with other staff to monitor student achievement.
- Maintaining professional standards and delivering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Start Date & Duration: - Starting as soon as possible
- Initial assignment to run through the remainder of the academic year, with potential for extension depending on college demand.
Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will: - Have substantial practical experience in the beauty industry.
- Be confident in delivering training/education in a college or learning environment.
- Hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Beauty (or equivalent).
- Demonstrate experience or comfort in working with further-education students.
- Be organised, reliable and student-focused.
