Are you mechanically minded, and love the working on utes, vans and trucks? Then this role is perfect for you, we currently have a permanent position available for an Automotive Fitter / Assembler in Matamata.

Our client is one of New Zealand’s leading fleet fit-out manufacturers, with over 21 years' experience designing, manufacturing and fitting specialist ute and truck bodies. They are a tight knit team, doing high quality work in a modern and well-resourced environment. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
* Pay rates will start at $30 per hour and up - open to negotiations based on your specific experience
* 40 hour work week | Early morning start (Guaranteed 40hrs)
* Based at the Matamata site

To hit the ground running and be 80% up to speed, we would like you to have the following experience:
* Automotive assembly or mechanical fitting experience
* MIG and TIG welding proficiency across steel and aluminium (current Welding and Fitter / Boilmaker certification preferred)
* Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings 
* A trade and workshop background with fabrication, fitting, assembly and electrical experience would be a bonus! 
* High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

A few more things about you:
* MUST have a Full Class 1 Driver's Licence
* Able to take instruction, learn and build on your skills
* Enjoy growing your skills and working within a team
* You are reliable and self motivated to show up and get the job done to a high standard
* Can pass a pre-employment Drug test and Criminal background check
* Must be already living in New Zealand and legal to work (we don’t provide support for work permits)
