The Ministry for Pacific Peoples, on behalf of the Minister for Pacific Peoples, is seeking applications for three positions on the Centre for Pacific Languages Board.
We are currently advertising for three board member roles with two starting 1 August 2025 and one beginning January 2026.
About the Centre for Pacific Languages
The Centre for Pacific Languages (CPL) serves as the central hub for Pacific languages and cultures in Aotearoa. Established in the 1970s, CPL was among the first Pacific-led organisations to support early Pacific migrants to New Zealand. Operating as a Charitable Trust, CPL is dedicated to preserving, maintaining, and promoting Pacific languages in New Zealand, primarily serving Pacific adult learners.
The CPL Board champions initiatives that enable Pacific peoples to achieve and share educational success through language and cultural knowledge.
Board Skill Requirements
Candidates must be of Pacific descent. We are seeking individuals with the following skills and experiences:
