About the Role:
As a Procurement Team Lead, you will ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary materials and supplies required for dairy production. This role is pivotal in supporting our operations and driving our success.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor the procurement team, providing training and development opportunities.
• Delegate tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Monitor market trends and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective agreements.
• Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
• Oversee the procurement workflow to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and lead times.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies.
• Prepare reports on purchasing metrics, budgets, and cost savings.
• Establish and maintain a preferred suppliers list.
• Handle contract administration.

Experience & Knowledge:

• 5 years’ experience in a similar Procurement Leadership role within the Dairy, FMCG, or Manufacturing industries.
• SAP/S4 Hana experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
• CIPS certification would be an advantage.
