The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Quality & Food Safety professional to support the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Quality and Food Safety Systems across our third‑party warehouse network. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role provides technical leadership, ensures compliance to HACCP and BRCGS standards, and supports both operational teams and customers through strong data, audit, and systems oversight.
What You’ll Do:
- Support Quality & Food Safety programs across third‑party warehouse sites, including sample collection, quality data analysis, pest control coordination, and maintenance of Quality Assurance systems.
- Conduct periodic audits of third‑party warehouses and provide technical advice on quality and food safety issues.
- Manage quality control processes, including investigating quality concerns and customer complaints, maintaining product specifications, overseeing non‑conformance controls, and managing document control.
- Assist in achieving and maintaining HACCP and BRCGS certification, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Support equipment maintenance by coordinating servicing, calibration, hygiene, and facility upkeep.
- Deliver training to third‑party staff on HACCP, BRCGS, and QC procedures.
- Travel interstate as required and participate in on‑call response for major quality, WHS, or recall events. Some shift work may be required.
What You Bring: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in the food industry and 3 years in QC/QA, including supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO, Food Quality Systems, and WHS.
- Skills in data management and analysis, technical report writing, document control, and the ability to influence and drive change.
- Qualifications in science (chemistry preferred) or equivalent industry experience, plus HACCP/ISO training and auditor training.
Who You’ll Work With: You’ll collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, H&S, Production, Commercial, and senior leadership teams, as well as external auditors, contract labs, customers, and industry bodies.
