Part Time Bookkeeper (Sage Professional 50 or Sage 50Cloud), 24 hours per week, Home based (with occasional travel to the Derby Office)  AAT 2/3 or equivalent £33-35k pro rata

Your responsibilities as a Part-Time Bookkeeper:

• Take ownership of Sales, Purchase and Nominal ledgers across three limited companies
• Manage foreign currency transactions (GBP, EUR, USD, JPY) using Sage 50 Professional's Foreign Trader module
• Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts and monitor exchange rate movements
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns in line with MTD requirements
• Track budgets and assist in preparing annual and quarterly forecasts
• Liaise with external accountants and the Group Controller, sharing monthly trial balances, year-end data and audit information
• Maintain accurate financial tracking on project revenue and costs
• Administer funds held on behalf of customers, ensuring compliant reconciliation
• Submit payroll data to the outsourced provider on a monthly basis
• Monitor finance inboxes and support the Director with ad-hoc administrative tasks

What you'll need to bring:

• Strong, demonstrable experience as a Part-Time Bookkeeper working remotely
• Expert-level knowledge of Sage 50 Professional (including Foreign Trader module)
• High level of confidence working with multi-currency accounts and foreign bank reconciliations
• A solid understanding of VAT returns and reporting requirements
• Comfort working independently with limited supervision
• Meticulous attention to detail, especially with project-based finance
• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders

The working setup:

• 24 hours per week, with flexibility on how these are spread
• Fully remote, with travel to Derby 2-4 times per month to check the mail
