We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Drafter to join our growing team. We are looking for a motivated person who will play a key part in leading Water Technology’s drafting capability and is passionate about innovation in this space. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project managers to transform civil, environmental and structural engineering concepts into high-quality technical drawings and documentation for a diverse range of water-related projects. You will play an important role in helping deliver sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions.
Key Outcomes
- Assist in leading an expanded civil and structural drafting capability within Water Technology.
- Assist in developing internal drafting standards, procedures and drive innovation in software, visualisation and engineering integration.
- Produce accurate and detailed civil, environmental and structural drawings using CAD software.
- Develop plans, profiles, cross-sections, utility layouts and technical details that support project delivery.
- Integrate survey data, engineering calculations and technical information into drafting outputs.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, drafting standards, environmental regulations and industry best practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high technical standard.
You are a detail-oriented drafter who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality technical documentation. You are comfortable managing competing priorities, building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and contributing to sustainable engineering outcomes. You'll be someone who embraces our One Water Tech approach and enjoys being part of a team committed to knowledge sharing, innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications - Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or a Bachelor of Engineering with CAD proficiency.
- Minimum 5-10 years' experience as a Drafter or Engineer in a relevant civil, environmental or structural field.
- Experience with civil design software such as 12D, including surface modelling, cross-sections and service coordination.
- Experience using structural drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit, including steel and reinforced concrete detailing.
- Strong communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. GIS experience (QGIS or similar) will be highly regarded.
