About the role
As a Market Development Lead, you will play an important role in driving regional growth and strengthening Water Technology’s market presence in Western Australia. Sitting at the confluence of business development and project delivery, you will align State strategy with national priorities, grow client relationships, and build a sustainable pipeline of work.
Key outcomes include:
- Develop and execute a State-based business development plan aligned with national strategy
- Lead and contribute to major tenders and proposal submissions
- Develop and build client relationships to drive repeat work and long-term partnerships
- Identify emerging market opportunities and trends to grow the business pipeline
- Collaborate with national and group leaders to position Water Technology for regional success
About you You are a commercially astute professional with a strong consulting background and a passion for building relationships and growing markets. You bring both technical (civil, coastal or environmental engineering, environmental science or earth science) credibility and business development expertise, and thrive in a collaborative, influence-driven environment.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- A degree in Engineering or Science relevant to our steams of services
- Demonstrated experience in civil, environmental, coastal or water consulting
- Proven ability in business development, including winning work and growing client networks
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop and execute growth strategies
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
