As such, we have an immediate opening for a Senior Hydrogeologist preferably based out of Darwin, but we are also open to other locations. It is a great time in your career to join a company that is expanding it’s reach both geographically and technically.
The addition of IGS to Water Technology’s dynamic team adds nationally-recognised expertise and excellence in the groundwater space. As a small, niche consultancy, IGS has been recognised for excellence in the groundwater consulting industry for the past fourteen years. We have expertise across areas such as groundwater modelling with uncertainty analysis, application of environmental tracer techniques, surface water-groundwater interactions, and remote area resource assessment. We are passionate about ensuring that our small team has opportunities to build their skills across these areas through a strong commitment to mentoring and professional development. Who are we looking for?
This opportunity calls for someone who demonstrates the following:
Hydrogeological Analysis & Conceptualisation
- Strong ability to characterise and conceptualise hydrogeological systems.
- Analytical and numerical modelling skills to predict groundwater system behaviour, including uncertainty and risk analysis.
- Experience in carrying out groundwater resource assessments and water resource management.
Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement - Ability to develop, plan, cost, implement, and manage scopes of work or projects.
- Proven experience in managing projects, building relationships, and influencing key stakeholders.
- Competent in complex technical investigations, assessments, and report writing.
- Capability in preparing proposals, contract documentation, and technical specifications.
Fieldwork & Remote Operations - Willingness and ability to work in remote locations
- Experience in Drilling supervision, aquifer pumping test supervision
- Experience in groundwater monitoring techniques
We are seeking someone with tertiary qualifications in Hydrogeology, Engineering or Geology, coupled with significant industry or consulting experience.
