Mental Health Floating Support Worker
Location: Based at: Cwm Taff
Hours: 30 hours per week (9am – 3pm Mon-Fri)
Duration: Temporary
  
A respected mental health charity who delivers high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living in the community is recruiting for a dedicated floating support worker. Their mission is to empower people experiencing mental health challenges to maintain independence, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals.
  
The Role
As a Floating Support Worker, you will provide flexible, outreach-based support to individuals in their own homes and community settings. You will work across different locations, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each person you support.
Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering one-to-one, recovery-focused support in service users’ homes
• Supporting individuals with tenancy sustainment and independent living skills
• Developing and reviewing personalised support and safety plans
• Encouraging engagement with community activities, employment, and education opportunities
• Supporting individuals to access health, social care, and other relevant services
• Maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential records
• Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
• Understands recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice
• Is confident working independently across multiple locations
• Has strong organisational and time-management skills
• Demonstrates empathy, professionalism, and clear boundaries
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle is essential
