Mental Health Support Worker

If so, a leading mental health service in Swansea is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join their team to deliver vital work in the community.
  
Location: Swansea
Hours: Full-time or Part-time (Rolling Rota)
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges
• To work in a psychological and trauma informed way
• Offer practical assistance with day-to-day activities, goal-setting, and personal development
• Provide emotional support and encourage positive coping strategies.
• Support individuals with accommodation issues, practical skills and independent living.
• Build trusting, respectful relationships with service users to help them achieve their personal goals
• Work collaboratively with mental health professionals, community organisations, and other support services
• Keep accurate records and documentation of support provided

  
About You: We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about mental health and supporting others
• Experienced in providing emotional or practical support, ideally in a mental health or social care setting
• Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental
• Able to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
• Excellent at communicating with people from all walks of life
• Willing to undertake training and personal development opportunities
• Hold a valid driving license and access to your own vehicle (with business insurance)
