Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking skilled and reliable Mechanical Assemblers to join our clients manufacturing team based at their East Yorkshire Facility.

This is a hands-on role that involves the assembly and fitting of trailer and body components using a range of tools and equipment. Candidates should have a good understanding of safe working practices, the ability to follow technical instructions, and a willingness to contribute to a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler role;

• Fit and fasten body components to panels and trailer bodies using bonding techniques or mechanical fasteners.
• Use and maintain hand and power tools essential to the build process.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Interpret written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
• Carry out general repairs, refurbishments, and modifications as needed.
• Maintain equipment used for adhesives and fasteners.
• Perform manual labour tasks as required.

What we need from you for the Mechanical Assembler role;

• Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
• General knowledge of trailer bodybuilding tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to apply bonding procedures and safe working practices.

Desirable Experience for the Mechanical Assembler role:

• Experience in trailer or body manufacturing.
• Background in trailer body or chassis repairs.
• Experience refurbishing or repairing used trailers.
