Pacific People Solutions is pleased to partner with TerraCom Limited (ASX: TER), a growth-driven Australian mining company with a global footprint and diverse portfolio of coal assets across Australia and South Africa.

We are seeking a motivated Operations Engineer to join the technical services team at Blair Athol Coal Mine, located 24 km northwest of the township of Clermont in Central Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate detailed weekly mine plans aligned with the 90-day plan and budget.
• Lead short-term design processes to optimise Dragline, Excavator, Dozer Push, and Hauling operations.
• Provide short-term mine planning, design, and optimisation solutions — including water management.
• Deliver drill and blast design, review, and analysis support.
• Monitor and analyse production compliance and performance against plans.
• Conduct UAV pit monitoring and site analysis.
• Participate in daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety interactions to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Support broader technical services and engineering functions across the organisation.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a motivated professional who brings both capability and passion. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline, with at least 5 years’ post-graduate experience in open cut mining.
• Proven operational experience, ideally in large-scale open cut coal mining.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly interpret and convey technical information.
• Proficiency in industry software such as Vulcan, 3DDig, Spry, and Deswik.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to safety and productivity.
• The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a disciplined, safety-focused team.
