Systems Engineer
Scientific Instruments

Join a global leader in scientific instrumentation as part of their X-ray Team, to contribute towards the development of innovative analytical x-ray technology. 

Key Responsibilities

• Design a complete and complex framework, system, or product.
• Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output, and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
• Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identify, analyse, and resolve system design weaknesses.
• Influence future products by contributing to the framework.
• Provide multi-layered technical expertise.
• Lead new product developments of tool architecture and design
• Prepare requirements documents and contribute to design reviews
• Transfer knowledge and systems to production: develop and document calibration and alignment processes, prepare tool characterisation test plans, develop test-jigs, train Tech Support and production team
• Characterise and integrate new components 

Background and experience   

• A number of years experience as a system or application engineer, or Service engineer, in a similar industry.
• A good understanding of motion control and high-accuracy motion systems.
• Experience with optical systems desired.
• Experience with PLC systems desired. 
• Be independent and self motivated!
