Intermediate Accountant - Business Services | $75,000 - $90,000 + super

Brisbane CBD | Hybrid 

The Firm A well-established Brisbane CBD accounting firm is looking to add an Intermediate Accountant to its growing Business Services team.
The firm works with a diverse portfolio of privately owned businesses, family groups and high-net-worth clients across a range of industries. They have built a strong reputation for providing high-quality compliance, tax and advisory services while maintaining a supportive and down-to-earth team culture.
You'll join a collaborative environment where you'll have direct access to Managers and Partners, regular client interaction and genuine opportunities to develop beyond traditional compliance work.
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns across companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements.
• Assist with Division 7A, CGT, FBT and other taxation matters.
• Liaise directly with clients and the ATO.
• Assist with tax planning and advisory work as your experience develops.
• Work closely with senior accountants, Managers and Partners.
• Manage your own workflow and deadlines across a varied client portfolio.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience within an Australian Public Practice accounting firm.
• Currently undertaking CA/CPA studies or looking to commence.
• Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns.
• Exposure to Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar cloud-based accounting software.
• A positive attitude and willingness to continue developing technically and professionally.
