Are you an experienced Accountant ready to take ownership of your own client portfolio while working closely with local businesses? Our client is a well established Boutique Firm in Townsville looking for a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative and growing team.

This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering practical business advice, and working across a diverse range of SME clients. You’ll be given autonomy, flexibility, and the support needed to continue developing your career in a positive team environment.
The Role In this position, you will:

• Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals
• Manage a portfolio of SME clients across a variety of industries
• Provide tax planning and business advisory support
• Complete Division 7A, CGT and FBT calculations
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships
• Ensure compliance with relevant taxation and accounting regulations

About You To be considered, you will ideally have:

• 5+ years’ experience within public practice accounting
• CA or CPA qualification (or currently completing)
• Strong technical tax and compliance knowledge across SME clients
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing deadlines
• Experience using Xero, MYOB and other cloud-based accounting systems
