Turks are looking for a capable qualified Lawyer to join our high performing and successful Commercial team in Sydney on a full-time basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with our partners, associates and clients, taking a focus on commercial litigation.

Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to

• Working on a diverse range of complex commercial litigation matters (Disputes, debt recovery, trade credit and general commercial litigation)
• Have regular involvement and direct contact with clients;
• Appear in various courts and tribunals;
• Draft statements of claim, defences, originating applications, notices of motion and other court documents;
• Draft statutory demands;
• Prepare evidence;
• Court appearances at directions and call-overs;
• Legal research;
• Drafting advice, statutory demands and correspondence; and
• Conduct ASIC and property searches.

  
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have:

• An academic qualification in law;
• Current NSW practicing certificate;
• Experience in defendant insurance litigation, preferably within Commercial insurance matters;
• Excellent analytical, drafting and communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail.

• Be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service;
• Have the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, as well as autonomously; and

Salary range: AUD80,000 to AUD90,000
