Pidapipo Pty Ltd, trading as Pidapipó, is a Melbourne-based Italian gelato business offering artisanal gelato, gelato cakes, chocolate and other specialty products.

The business is currently seeking an experienced Retail Manager for a permanent full-time position in Carlton VIC 3053. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day retail operations, supervising staff, coordinating stock and maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
• Supervising, training and coordinating retail staff to ensure efficient and professional service.
• Preparing staff rosters and allocating duties according to operational requirements.
• Monitoring stock levels and coordinating the ordering, receiving and appropriate storage of products and supplies.
• Maintaining product displays and ensuring high standards of store presentation.
• Monitoring sales performance, stock movements and day-to-day operational costs.
• Ensuring high standards of customer service and responding professionally to customer enquiries and feedback.
• Coordinating with staff and management to maintain efficient workflows and service standards.
• Maintaining accurate sales, stock and operational records.
• Supporting the implementation of retail procedures and operational standards.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, staff supervision and team coordination skills.
• Experience in retail operations, stock control and customer service.
• Good understanding of product presentation and retail service standards.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to work.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy customer-facing retail environment.
