Highly regarded SA Business is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and support their payroll function. This is a pivotal role to not only lead & support the payroll function, but to also drive system efficiencies and champion continuous process improvement.


Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the payroll processing lifecycle.
• Oversee and approve payroll on a fortnightly basis, ensuring that all employees are paid in accordance with their employment agreements, including superannuation, entitlements, and taxes.
• Ensure the payroll team are skilled in every facet of their job and help upskill in areas of deficiency.
• Manage and optimise payroll processing ensuring all controls, user guides, and procedures are up to date.
• Act as the primary point of escalation for any payroll concerns or disputes and consult with Senior Management as required.
• Identify and implement payroll system efficiencies, establishing strong quality control checks to minimise errors.

Required Background:

• 10+ years Payroll exp; 3+ years Payroll Manager experience
• Strong mix of technical payroll expertise, system savvy, and collaborative leadership skills
• In-depth knowledge of payroll legislation
• An adaptable professional who is eager to learn, handle confidential information with absolute discretion and solve complex problems.
