We are looking for a Bookkeeper  to join our clients friendly, fully remote team. You'll be comfortable keeping pace with an advanced technology environment, embracing automation and AI to work smarter and continuously improve the way things are done. This is more than a transactional bookkeeping role - you'll take ownership of your own portfolio of clients, build genuine relationships and be supported to broaden your skills across payroll, reporting, budgeting and client engagement.
 
Your day could include:

• Managing end-to-end bookkeeping across multiple client accounts
• Building strong relationships and communicating directly with clients
• Processing payroll and superannuation, including Award compliance
• Preparing BAS, IAS, STP finalisation, payroll tax and other compliance requirements for review
• Managing accounts payable and receivable
• Completing bank reconciliations in Xero
• Preparing monthly and quarterly account reviews and management reports
• Assisting with budgeting, reporting and broader client requirements as your skills develop
• Working collaboratively with team members
• Keeping client work accurate, organised and on schedule

About You
You know your way around the numbers, but just as importantly, you're good with people. You'll enjoy working with different clients and building trusted relationships. You're friendly, approachable and comfortable asking questions or putting your hand up to help a teammate.
 
Ideally, you'll bring:

• 2-5 years' relevant bookkeeping experience, ideally working across multiple clients or businesses
• Strong Xero experience - this is a must
• Experience with Australian GST, BAS and IAS
• Experience managing bookkeeping accurately across multiple accounts and deadlines
• Payroll experience would be highly regarded
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confident and friendly client communication skills
• A collaborative, helpful and solutions-focused approach
• Confidence using technology and an interest in AI and smarter ways of working
• The ability to work independently while staying connected with a remote team
