The Opportunity   

Reporting to the National Sales Manager – Major Builders, you will be responsible for managing a sales portfolio of select key top 200 builders within NSW.
  
As the BDM, you will be accountable for continually advancing James Hardie’s growth of High Value Products across projects within the multi-family, aged care and non-residential segments. This is done by implementing strategies to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable profitable growth year on year.
    
What you’ll do

• Account Manage and develop Integrated Business Plans to drive repeat use and advocacy of the Hardie Architectural Range & New Product Innovation
• Execute insight led co-creation framework to influence housing design / ranges to incorporate Fibre Cement within top 200 major builders in region
• Work with the Co-Creation Marketing Manager to drive change through insight and to plan and execute marketing co-collaboration initiatives
• Train builders on how to effectively design, estimate and install James Hardie’s Architectural range - leveraging install team where appropriate – to reduce OWC
• Execute display home & selection centre activation strategy in conjunction with the Co-Creation Marketing Manager
• Align opportunities with local sales team to drive through key customer partners
• Amplify impact of key wins to create competitive rivalry and accelerated momentum with builders

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years sales experience with a proven track record as a true Business Development Manager
• Experience working in the building industry is preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to effectively network and collaborate to achieve desired outcomes
• Proven experience working closely with business owners, directors and CEO’s
• High level of commercial acumen, a passion for problem solving and effective negotiation skills to drive value through solutions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; experience with Salesforce or another CRM, desirable
• Proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategic and tactical thinking to deliver outcomes
