About the role
  
This is a design-first role—ideal for someone who thrives on translating high-level homepage designs into fully functional, brand-consistent websites using WordPress and Elementor.
Note: This is not a backend or full-stack developer role. We're looking for someone with strong visual design capabilities and hands-on Elementor and WordPress experience.
  
Shift Schedule: (Mon-Fri) 9AM to 5:30PM AEST (30  minutes unpaid lunch)
Working budget: Willing to work with a budget that’s appropriate for the role
  
Primary Tasks

• Inherit and extend high-fidelity homepage designs created in Figma by our UX team.
• Build out full websites in WordPress using Elementor, maintaining consistency in design, layout, and UX from the homepage.
• Work primarily with Elementor templates, customising and tweaking them to meet each project's needs and brand guidelines.
• Implement responsive, mobile-first design principles.
• Optimise sites for performance, speed, SEO, and conversion.
• Configure plugins, add functionality, and ensure smooth performance.
• Design supporting graphics and visual elements (icons, banners, etc.) as needed.
• Conduct QA and troubleshoot front-end bugs or inconsistencies.
• Stay up-to-date with modern design standards and web development trends. 

Required Qualifications/Experiences (Must Have)

• 5+ years’ experience in front-end website design and development.
• Expertise in WordPress and Elementor.
• Strong Figma skills and experience interpreting UI/UX designs into live sites.
• A great eye for design and strong grasp of UX/CRO principles.
• Attention to detail, solid communication, and the ability to follow a design system.
• Comfortable working within established creative direction (rather than setting it from scratch).

Technology/Systems Experience Required:

• WordPress
• Elementor
• Figma
• Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
• Canva
• HTML5 / CSS3 (especially for fine-tuning Elementor elements)
• JavaScript/jQuery (basic usage for added interactivity or plugin customization)

Responsive Design & UX

• Mobile-first, responsive design principles
  Knowledge of UX/CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) best practices
