Dispatcher | 12pm start | 60K to 65K annually
We are hiring for a company in the transportation industry with an immediate opening for an LTL and Line Haul Dispatcher in Mississauga, ON
Start Date: Immediately
Shift:12pm start, Monday - Friday
Location: Bramalea Rd & Derry Rd
Rate: $60,000 to $65,000 annually based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day communications via phone and/or handheld device, with fleet of drivers
- Managing roughly 40 - 50 line Haul drivers daily
- Effectively communicate load instructions and ensure they are carried out
- Efficiently delegate loads to maximize time and load factor
- Manage service concerns as required
- Coordinate maintenance of fleet vehicles
- Assist with generating reports and other administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation and dispatch
- Previous experience with Unionized company drivers is an asset
- Ability to train and develop team members and hold accountable when necessary
- Good computer skills with accuracy in data entry and attention to detail
- Excellent time management with high ability to multitask
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Dependable to work independently with no supervision
- Ability to identify root cause, write corrective actions, and implement
- Ability to multitask and effectively prioritized in a fast paced environment
- 'Can-Do' attitude with a passion to drive results
- Clean criminal background required
