About the Role
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team on an exciting Data Centre project located in Launceston on a full-time project-based contract basis. Reporting to the Project Manager you will manage project costs, contracts and budgets, ensuring the data centre is delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with the highest quality standards.
In addition, some of your key tasks will include;
- Review drawings and contract documents to ensure all requirements are covered by the cost estimate
- Highlight any significant physical or contractual deviation
- Identify and document all technical clarifications clearly
- Daily record of expended man-hour figures by area, activity and employee
- Daily record of plant and equipment utilisation
- Daily record of material installation progress by date, tagged item, weighted steps/rules of credit
- Maintain QMR for quantity /hours tracking and calculating productivity factors (PF) at detailed levels
- Work with supervisors and project management to ensure timely information flow
- Prepare progress paperwork for supervisors to complete
- Audit field data regularly to ensure accuracy
- Verify CMS data against field records
About You To be successful in this position, you will bring your extensive experience managing project costs and contracts within electrical construction or renewable energy projects, along with strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following;
- Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering degree or trade, or similar education.
- Well established experience in contracts and project costs.
- Ability to assess changes between drawing revisions.
- Outstanding analytical capabilities.
- Significant Attention to Detail.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient advanced level in all MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Driver's Licence
