The Salt Foundation is looking for multiple experienced Support Workers to support a mature male participant in Bayswater area. Our participant requires extensive care across all aspect of daily living, including personal care, medication administration and  assistance with everyday household tasks. Participation and meaningful engagement within their home and community environments is an important aspect of this role.  
 
This role requires a team of multiple support workers willing to support the participant 24 hours 7 days a week in a SIL House environment. Although some flexibility may be facilitated. Ideally you would be available to fill at least 2 shifts per week. Casual employment and an Immediate start.  

Typical shifts we need filling, include:

Weekdays & Weekends - Afternoon shifts: 3pm to 8pm 
Tuesday & Wednesday - Sleep over:  8pm to 9am
 
Our ideal candidate is a clear communicator, reliable, and can demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity, care and compassion. You will bring a professional approach, coupled with a genuine passion for caring.  
 

About you:  

• Must be available for at least 1 or 2 sleepovers a week
• Weekday and weekend roster availability is needed
• Experience in providing personal care  
• Experience in administering and medication management 
• Must be fluent speaker in Hakha Chin language
• Can de-escalate and support behaviours of concern  
• Experience with working with behaviour support plans.  
• Clear and effective communications skills  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record management  
• Reliable and committed  
• A positive and professional approach.
