Disability Support Worker – Complex Care 

The Salt Foundation is looking for an experienced Support Worker to support a young adult with complex ASD. Our participant requires extensive care across all aspect of daily living, including personal care, community access and participation. We’re looking for a support worker who has experience in building capacities with non-verbal participations.   
 
About you: 

• Minimum two year's experience working with ASD and non-verbal participants. 
• Experience in providing personal care 
• Can de-escalate and support behaviours of concern 
• Experience with working with behaviour support plans.  
• Clear and effective communications skills 
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record management 
• Reliable and committed  
• A positive and professional approach. 
• Relevant industry qualification

Established in 2011, The Salt Foundation is a not-for-profit Christian charity providing integral support services to people living with disabilities. The Salt Foundation is a registered NDIS provider with a proud history of providing programs that promote physical, social, and mental well-being for individuals, families, and communities.  
 
As a not-for-profit charity all our proceeds go back into the community. Over the last 10 years the Salt Foundation has donated proceeds to support those who are most valuable and disadvantaged in our community. This has seen the development of emergency food relief programs to families in crises, social enterprise for women and children in India and many more community focussed programs both locally and abroad. • NDIS Workers Screening Check 
• NDIS orientation module 
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence 
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates 
• Victorian Working with Children Check 
• Access to a personal motor vehicle 
• Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
