An Australian R&D and manufacturing company developing advanced defence and industrial systems is growing its operations team and is hiring a Facilities Hand to help maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised site.
 
This full-time, onsite role in Adelaide, SA supports facilities, housekeeping, site logistics, and daily operational readiness across the organisation.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with workspace setup, relocations, and basic facility adjustments
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, common spaces, and storage zones (5S aligned)
• Carry out rubbish removal, spot cleaning, spill response, and consumable restocking
• Support receiving, handling, and internal movement of equipment and deliveries
• Organise materials within storage areas and operate manual handling aids safely
• Maintain clear walkways, exits, emergency equipment areas, and shared spaces
• Assist with safety checks, hazard identification, and temporary barriers/signage
• Provide general labour and cross-functional support to production and engineering teams
• Support audit, inspection, and customer tour readiness

Requirements

• Experience in a general hand, facilities, warehousing, or support role
• Able to perform role-related manual tasks such as lifting, moving items, and standing/walking as required
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and able to follow site procedures
• Must be an Australian citizen (required for security clearance)

Desirable

• Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in industrial or production environments
• Familiarity with 5S or lean workplace practices
