Rig Electrician - PNG International Rotation

Experienced Rig Electricians are sought to support an upcoming international mobilisation to Papua New Guinea.
This is a project-based casual opportunity that forms part of operational growth, focused on strengthening crew capability, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality performance in a structured environment.

This is a well-supported, well-resourced project with established infrastructure and a clear operational plan, designed to enable crews to focus on performance, and contribute to a major project. Condor continues to support Australian partners as an equipment supplier to their projects including those based in PNG.

About the Role
Reporting to the Rig Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment on the rig
• Conducting preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation of all rig electrical systems
• Troubleshooting electrical faults and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Supporting safe rig operations and enforcing electrical safety protocols
• Assisting with emergency responses and operational continuity

Candidate Requirements

• Trade-qualified Electrician with experience on oil, gas, or mining rigs
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, rig equipment, and safety standards
• Experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment
• Ability to work in remote and logistically complex environments
• Willingness to mobilise internationally at short notice
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain valid work rights in Papua New Guinea
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and police clearance

Important Engagement Information

• Based in PNG on an international rotation
• Engagement on a casual basis
• Candidates will be employed through an independent third-party labour provider
• Employment terms, conditions, and payroll managed by the third-party employer
