We are looking for experienced Coiled Tubing Operators to support our expanding operations in Australia. Multiple positions are available.
The Role
The Coil Tubing Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining coil tubing units and associated equipment. The operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and safety of the equipment used in operations. At the completion of each job, the Coiled Tubing Operator assists in the cleanup, maintenance, repair, and preparation of the equipment for the next job. Key aspects of this position are the expectation for effective delivery of services with flawless quality and no HSE incidents.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate & maintain coil tubing units and related equipment
- Assist in preparing and mobilizing coil tubing equipment for well intervention activities
- Conduct pre-job equipment checks and inspections
- Performing routine maintenance on coil tubing units and associated equipment
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and protocols to ensure a secure working environment
- Comply with industry regulations and standards related to coil tubing operations
- Carry out 12hr shift work as required including night shifts.
- Perform manual labour tasks including rig up / rig down of equipment
- Ensures equipment is properly cleaned, flushed, packed, and stored correctly.
Experience & Qualifications - Minimum 1 year experience in the oil & gas industry (coiled tubing experience strongly preferred)
- Experience operating or assisting with Coiled Tubing (CT) equipment and units
- Experience with CT fluid systems, including pumping operations (e.g. acidizing)
- Strong commitment to HSEQ standards and safe operating procedures
- Ability to conduct pre-start checks, inspections, and basic maintenance of equipment
- Experience working in remote field environments
- HC, HR, or MC truck licence preferred
- Additional tickets preferred: First Aid, CPR, Working at Heights, Load Restraint, DG, EWP/Forklift/Loader, Well Site Permit to Work
