Experienced Derrickmen are sought to support an upcoming international mobilisation to Papua New Guinea.
This is a project-based casual opportunity forming part of operational growth, focused on strengthening crew capability, reinforcing safety standards, and delivering consistent, high-quality performance.

With established infrastructure and a clear operational plan, this project allows crews to focus on performance while contributing to a major project under a growing international drilling footprint.Condor continues to support Australian partners as an equipment supplier to their projects including those based in PNG.


About the Role
Reporting to the Rig Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Handling and guiding drill pipe, tubing, and associated equipment on the derrick
• Assisting with rig operations during tripping, drilling, and maintenance activities
• Supporting safe and efficient workflow on the rig floor
• Enforcing safety standards and actively participating in safety briefings

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Derrickman or in a similar rig role
• Knowledge of drilling operations, rig systems, and safety protocols
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in remote and logistically complex environments
• Willingness to mobilise internationally at short notice
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain valid work rights in Papua New Guinea
• Successful completion of a pre-employment medical and police clearance

• Based in PNG on an international rotation
• Engagement on a casual basis
• Candidates will be employed through an independent third-party labour provider
• Employment terms, conditions, and payroll managed by the third-party employer
