This restaurant is going to be special. The chef/owner has such excellent pedigree and has worked in some of the capital’s finest restaurants. In the last few years, she’s been going from success to success and is now pushing ahead to open her very first restaurant. The food will be a real reflection of her background and her travels whilst staying firmly rooted in classic technique.
We think this role is so exciting, there is genuine scope for creative input and the HC is super supportive. Charlotte has worked with the head chef before and knows she is incredibly talented but also passionate and kind. Coming for the world of fine-dining there is a lot for her to teach but also no desire to recreate the stressful and unsupportive environments that are so often found in the world of fine-dining. I’ve met all of the women involved in this project and just know it’s going to be a huge success for them given their passion and dedication but most importantly their genuine hospitality. This role would be supporting the HC in the day-to day running of the kitchen, there would be a big focus on service and developing the team and outside of service you’d help with organisation, SOPs and H&S compliance. You’d work with the HC on a lot of services during the opening and begin to run solo shifts within a few months.
The restaurant is open Weds evening until Sunday evening, so you’ll always have Monday and Tuesday off. The dining room can seat 30-40 guests but there are plans to extend the terrace and also for a bar menu for guests that are popping in for a cocktail - cocktails happen to be a passion of one of the owners and I know first-hand that they have a talent for it! This is a neighbourhood restaurant with a real focus on the guest experience and hospitality. No doubt it will pull in critics and guests from further afield as time goes by but for now they’re struggling to meet demand from their local community and are in fact fully booked until August!
