We are looking for Senior Sous for a very exciting and successful restaurant championing bright & bold flavours, open fire cooking and working with the best seasonal produce. You will support the female Head Chef and female owner to lead the team and play a crucial role in the growth of this business. This already well-loved restaurant serves thoughtful vegetarian dishes which are a big focus on the regularly changing menu, and meat and fish dish are carefully selected from high quality ethical suppliers. The drinks menu features a mix of natural, low intervention wines and cocktails which are simple twists on the classics. The wonderful owner has also launched a super successful cookbook and has lots of exciting plans ahead for the business.
We are looking for a progressive Sous Chef to join this brilliant business, with experience in running busy kitchens to a high standard, you'll need to be super organised and up for supporting with the office side of management too. You don’t have to have experience cooking on fire, but an understanding of a broad ranges of spices, flavours and cuisines is great as well as a keen interest to learn more. You will work collaboratively with the kitchen team on the menu which changes regularly.
The restaurant is open 7 days a week and is consistently busy so you’ll have a nice mix of shifts and this is a full time 48 hours a week role.
