About the Role
This is a temporary role (3-6 months) initially with the possibility of becoming permanent after a period of time. An immediate start is preferred; however, all applications will be considered.
The Bookkeeper will support the finance function by managing payroll and day to day bookkeeping activities across the organisation. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and ensuring financial transactions are recorded correctly. The position requires someone highly organised and detail oriented who can manage routine finance functions while supporting the broader finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Process fortnightly payroll for approximately 60 employees including wages and superannuation.
Maintain payroll records including leave balances, timesheets and employee information.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts and payments.
Undertake general bookkeeping duties to ensure financial data remains current.
Reconcile bank accounts and monitor financial transactions.
Prepare and lodge Activity Statements, Payroll Tax and PAYG reports by due dates.
Assist with financial reporting including Profit and Loss and cashflow reporting.
Maintain records within MYOB and supporting financial systems.
Skills and Experience Required
Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and payroll processing.
Experience managing payroll for a medium sized workforce.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
Proficiency using accounting software and financial systems.
Strong working knowledge of MYOB is essential.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and general IT capability.
