About the Role
SAG Workforce has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Carpenter to join our client, Shaping Australia Group Pty Ltd, delivering civil construction and geotechnical projects across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The role focuses on formwork and structural carpentry associated with concrete structures, ground engineering and stabilisation works. We’re looking for someone with practical site experience who takes pride in accurate workmanship, works well within a team and maintains a strong commitment to safety.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Set out, construct, install and strip timber and proprietary formwork for civil concrete structures, including footings, slabs, walls, plinths and retaining structures.
• Install bracing and supports in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and site requirements.
• Read and interpret construction drawings to achieve accurate dimensions, levels and alignment.
• Assist with concrete preparation and placement, including reinforcement coordination, cast-in components and penetrations.
• Undertake carpentry and formwork tasks supporting ground engineering, slope stabilisation and geotechnical construction works.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers and other trades to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Safely use and maintain tools and equipment, keeping work areas clean and organised.
• Comply with company safety procedures, safe work method statements and quality requirements.

  
Requirements

• Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in formwork and structural carpentry on civil or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and accurately set out work.
• Experience working with timber and proprietary formwork systems.
• White Card (Construction Induction).
• Own carpentry tools and reliable transport.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely and effectively within a project team.

Experience in geotechnical construction, retaining structures, slope stabilisation or concrete remediation will be highly regarded.
