SAG Workforce has been exclusively engaged to recruit a highly accomplished Civil Manager for a confidential and well-established civil contractor experiencing significant growth across South East Queensland.

This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation with an established portfolio of government and private sector infrastructure projects and take ownership of both the operational and commercial success of the business.

Reporting directly to the Directors, this executive role will lead the delivery of approximately $30 million in annual civil construction projects while driving business development, securing new opportunities and strengthening long-term client relationships.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine executive leadership position with responsibility for:

• Leading the overall performance of the Civil Construction division
• Driving business development and securing new civil infrastructure projects
• Building and maintaining executive-level relationships with government agencies, developers, consultants and key industry stakeholders
• Overseeing the successful delivery of approximately $30 million in annual civil projects
• Providing leadership and direction to Project Managers, Engineers and site teams
• Managing commercial performance, budgets, forecasting and profitability
• Leading tender strategy, contract negotiations and project planning
• Driving operational excellence, safety, quality and client satisfaction
• Working alongside the Directors to execute strategic growth initiatives
• Developing high-performing teams and mentoring future leaders

About You

To be successful, you will be an experienced civil construction executive with an exceptional reputation for delivering projects while growing profitable businesses.

You will ideally possess:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Extensive senior leadership experience within the civil construction industry
• Proven success managing large civil infrastructure portfolios valued around $30 million or greater
• Strong business development and sales capability with a well-established industry network
• Demonstrated success winning and delivering government and private sector projects
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management experience
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities

Highly Regarded

Candidates with experience delivering projects for or working closely with the following will be highly regarded:

• Queensland Government departments
• Local Government authorities
• Transport and road infrastructure agencies
• Water and utilities providers
• Major infrastructure contractors
• Government procurement and tendering environments
