Vac Truck & NDD Operator (Full-Time) SAG Workforce – Brisbane & SEQ

SAG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Vac Truck & Non-Destructive Digging (NDD) Operator to join a well-established and growing civil services contractor across South East Queensland.

This is a full-time opportunity working across major civil infrastructure, utilities, and construction projects, offering long-term stability and the chance to work with a high-performing team.

You will be responsible for operating vacuum excavation trucks and supporting safe, precise non-destructive digging activities across live civil and utility environments.

We are ideally looking for:

• An experienced Vac Truck / NDD Operator (Cappellotto experience highly regarded)
• OR a Multi-Skilled Machine & Vac Combo Operator
• Candidates with an HC Licence (preferred for either role)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks for non-destructive excavation (hydro/vac digging)
• Safely expose underground services including utilities, stormwater, and communications
• Work alongside civil crews on live construction and infrastructure sites
• Complete pre-starts, daily checks, and maintain equipment to high standards
• Follow site safety procedures, SWMS, and client requirements
• Assist with general civil works where required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience operating Vac Trucks / NDD equipment
• Experience with Cappellotto units (highly desirable)
• Valid HC Licence (preferred) or willingness to obtain
• White Card (Construction Induction) – essential
• Strong understanding of underground service location and safety practices
• Ability to work in a team and take direction on site
• Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to safety
