We are seeking a hands-on Early Works Supervisor to support the delivery of large-scale townhouse and medium-density residential developments. This role suits someone with a strong civil construction background who is comfortable being on site daily, working closely with subcontractors and site crews through the early stages of construction.

These projects operate in a commercial environment, but are built from residential-style plans at scale, making prior residential housing experience highly advantageous.

About the Role

This is a boots-on-the-ground supervisory role, overseeing and assisting with early works including civil, services, and stormwater. You will be actively involved in coordinating trades, checking levels, resolving site issues in real time, and keeping works moving safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on supervision of early works and civil activities on townhouse projects
• Daily coordination of plumbers, electricians, road contractors, civil crews, and service subcontractors
• Oversight and installation coordination of stormwater systems (essential)
• Assist with set-out checks, trenching coordination, service runs, and access planning
• Work directly from residential construction drawings applied to a commercial-scale build
• Maintain site safety, housekeeping, and quality standards
• Identify and rectify site issues early to prevent delays or rework
• Communicate clearly with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
• Lead by example with a strong safety-first approach

About You

• Demonstrated experience in a hands-on Early Works Supervisor or Civil Supervisor role
• Strong civil and services background within construction environments
• Stormwater experience is essential
• Comfortable coordinating multiple subcontractors simultaneously on active sites
• Previous residential house construction experience highly regarded
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and levels
• Practical, solution-focused mindset with strong on-site leadership skills
• White Card (essential)
