Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking to make an impact on a dynamic commercial construction project? Our client, a leading commercial construction company based on Brisbane’s southside, is seeking a hands-on Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on site.

About the Role

This role is site-based and will see you working closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth delivery of a large-scale commercial build. You will play a key part in implementing and maintaining health, safety, and compliance standards while also supporting the site team in managing trades and assisting with the build schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor WHS policies and procedures on site
• Conduct site safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks
• Work alongside the Site Manager to manage subcontractors and site activities
• Provide guidance and support to trades and workers regarding safe work practices
• Assist in coordinating the construction build schedule to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Report on compliance and drive a positive safety culture across site

About You

• Previous experience in a WHS or HSE role within commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and compliance requirements
• Hands-on and practical approach with the ability to engage with trades on site
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety)
