Director of Operations, CNS Centre of Excellence - US based


In this brand-new opportunity, we’re looking to hire a CNS Operations & Project Specialist who’ll be instrumental in our new centre of excellence (COE) division dedicated to Central Nervous Systems (CNS) clinical trials.

Responsibilities

The Director is responsible for the operational leadership, execution, and delivery of all CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) clinical projects within the Centre of Excellence. Reporting directly to the Executive Medical Director, CNS Centre of Excellence, this role ensures that CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) trials are conducted efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with the strategic goals of the organization. The Director will oversee cross-functional teams, drive process optimization, and ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and client satisfaction in all operational aspects of CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) research.

What you'll need to succeed  

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in clinical & project operations / management, with a strong focus on CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) trials within a CRO, pharmaceutical, or academic research environment.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams for complex CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) clinical trials across all phases, with a preference for early- to mid-phase (Phase I and II) studies.
• Proven track record in project planning, resource management, and operational delivery of CNS (Psychiatry/Neurology) studies, including oversight of budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and sponsor relationship management.
• Familiarity with both investigator-initiated and sponsor-driven trials, with the ability to adapt to diverse operational models.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, nursing, pharmacy, or a related field is required
• Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
