Job Title: Field Runner (Logistics & Inventory Support) 
Location: Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada
Salary: $25-$28/hour
Reports to: Operations Manager
Start Date: As soon as possible
 
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive, dependable, and highly organized Field Runner to join our operations team. This is a full-time, year-round position with a mix of on-the-road delivery work and hands-on inventory support. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving on the fly, and takes ownership of logistics operations. You'll ensure our field crews have exactly what they need, when they need it, and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Deliveries:
• Drive a 3-ton Cargo/Box truck to deliver tools, materials, and supplies to multiple field locations.
• Maintain punctual delivery schedules and adapt to changing drop-off points.
• Inventory & Logistics:
• Track materials in and out of the warehouse using Zebra scanning devices.
• Ensure accurate transfer of inventory to field technicians.
• Support warehouse staff in maintaining stock levels and organized storage.
• Warehouse Support:
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and restocking tools, consumables, and supplies.
• Operate a forklift if certified (refresher training available )
• Operational Excellence:
• Communicate regularly with operations and field teams to anticipate needs.
• Identify process improvements and take initiative to implement them.
• Take ownership of logistics and inventory processes for smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Class 5 drivers - Experience driving a 3-ton Cargo/Box truck is an asset.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency using inventory scanning technology (Zebra experience a plus).
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Licenses & Certifications:
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (abstract required).
• Forklift training is good to have; Metercor can pay for a refresher.
• Class 3 license is considered an asset but not required.
• Criminal background check required.

Working Conditions:

• Environment:
• Combination of warehouse work and driving in various weather conditions.
• Physical activity including lifting, bending, and loading/unloading.
• Schedule:
• Full-time, year-round position with consistent weekly hours.
