Job Title: Field Runner (Logistics & Inventory Support)
Location: Abbotsford,British Columbia, Canada
Salary: $32.00/hour
Reports to: Operations Manager
Start Date: As soon as possible
Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive, dependable, and highly organized Field Runner to join our operations team. This is a full-time, year-round position with a mix of on-the-road delivery work and hands-on inventory support. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving on the fly, and sees opportunity in taking ownership of logistics operations. You’ll be trusted with ensuring our field crews have exactly what they need, when they need it, and you’ll play a key role in keeping our operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Deliveries:
o Load a company vehicle twice daily with tools, materials, and supplies.
o Deliver to multiple field locations across a 100 km daily driving range.
o Maintain punctual delivery schedules and adapt to changing drop-off points.
Inventory & Logistics:
o Use Zebra scanning devices to accurately track materials in and out of the warehouse.
o Ensure precise transfer of inventory to field technicians.
o Support warehouse staff in maintaining accurate stock levels and organized storage.
Warehouse Support:
o Receive and check incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality.
o Assist with restocking tools, consumables, and supplies.
o Operate a forklift if certified (training available).
Operational Excellence:
o Communicate regularly with operations and field teams to anticipate needs.
o Spot process improvements and take initiative to implement them.
o Take ownership of logistics and inventory processes, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse operations preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
o Proficiency using inventory scanning technology (Zebra experience a plus).
o Excellent communication and time management skills.
o Dependable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities.
Licenses & Certifications:
o Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (abstract required).
o Class 4 license and forklift certification considered assets but not required.
o Criminal background check required.
