Electrician – Specialty Crop Systems | Taber, AB & Travel

We’re hiring a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team, supporting farm operations that grow and process high-value specialty crops such as potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, and beans. If you're excited about working with cutting-edge equipment, traveling between project sites, and helping farmers drive production and sustainability, this opportunity is for you.
Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour Location: Based in Taber, AB with travel across Alberta and Saskatchewan Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from circuit diagrams, blueprints, and electrical code specifications
• Pull wire through conduits and walls (including Mooij installations)
• Install and maintain brackets, hangers, lighting, switches, relays, and breaker panels
• Connect and splice wires to complete circuits and ensure safety and compliance
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical and electronic systems
• Commission and maintain audio/visual, signaling, and HVAC systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

• A clear and confident communicator with internal teams, customers, and suppliers
• A certified Electrician or hold a diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Comfortable using MS Office and Google Suite tools
• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kg
• Willing to work seasonal shifts during planting and harvest periods
• Experienced with agricultural or specialty crop systems (preferred)
• Equipped with basic mechanical skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
