- Advanced knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoDesk Inventor preferred) and mechanical engineering principles.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering analysis including finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve engineering challenges.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all project aspects.
- Ability to work independently or in a team to achieve project goals.
- Must be self-motivated and have the ability make decisions to progress the task at hand with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work safely and follow all company processes and procedures.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
Education: - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited institution.
- Master’s degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
Experience: - Required minimum 5 years of related experience.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint).
Physical Demands: - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to occasional climb ladders and crawl underneath trailers
- Work in the office as well as the shop floor
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Occasionally exposed to cold, heat, noise, mechanical/electrical fume, or odor.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
- Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
