Position: Pharmacy Assistant / Customer Service Representative
Location: Hamilton, ON
Hours: Flexible schedules, including shifts from 8 AM - 9 PM and weekend rotations (8:30 AM - 9:00 PM).

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring patients receive the medications they need when they need them. From coordinating prescriptions to communicating with doctors, nurses, and patients, your role will be pivotal in providing timely, safe, and high-quality care. Every task you perform will directly contribute to improving lives—a rewarding experience like no other.
What you will do:

• Be the backbone of operations: Enter prescription orders, schedule production, and ensure accurate documentation to keep things running smoothly.
• Connect and care: Communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and homecare teams to set up medication delivery and reorder prescriptions.
• Support innovation: Help program cutting-edge medical equipment like CADD pumps and ensure timely delivery of priority orders.
• Ensure Accuracy: Manage billing, claims, and reconciliation for medications, ensuring patients get the care they need seamlessly.
• Be a problem-solver: Investigate potential delivery challenges and coordinate with operations to meet urgent needs.
• Contribute to quality: Take part in initiatives to continuously improve processes and enhance patient care.

Who you are:

• You hold a Pharmacy Assistant Certificate and have relevant pharmacy experience (Pharmacy Technician certification from OCP is an asset).
• You’re highly organized with a keen eye for detail.
• You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple demands with ease.
• You’re a team player who adapts quickly to changes and takes ownership of your responsibilities.

Working environment

• Enjoy a comfortable office setting with occasional hands-on tasks, such as lifting light boxes (under 20 lbs).
• Contribute to operations in a temperature-controlled space as needed.
