Job Title:Superintendent/Drywall Supervisor
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Salary: CA$80,000 - CA$120,000 per year

Supervision and leadership: Lead and manage site teams to ensure that tasks are completed safely, on time, and meet high-quality standards. Mentor and motivate staff to maintain productivity and morale.
Project oversight: Oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring each is completed according to the project plan, budget, and timeline. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Foremen to achieve project objectives.
Quality assurance: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all work meets project quality standards, specifications, and timelines. Address quality concerns as needed.
Scheduling and coordination: Develop 4-week look-ahead schedules in collaboration with foremen. Monitor project progress and communicate delays or concerns to Project Managers.
Safety enforcement: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections and maintaining safety documentation. Promote a culture of safety at all times.
Stakeholder liaison: Act as the on-site point of contact for general contractors, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate effective communication.
Reporting and documentation: Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and QA/QC documentation. Collaborate with Project Managers to keep project information up to date.
Resource management: Ensure proper use and timely requisition of materials and equipment. Allocate the workforce efficiently to meet project demands.
Problem resolution: Identify and resolve on-site issues, escalating critical matters when necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the drywall or construction industry.
Strong understanding of drywall installation, insulation, and quality control.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suites.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred).
Relevant industry certifications or licenses.
