Advanced Agricultural Equipment Mechanic
Location: Havre, Montana
Pay Rate: $30 - $45/hour
About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Agricultural Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Havre, Montana. The company services a wide range of agricultural equipment, including Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Gleaner, Bobcat, Vermeer, and Mac Don, along with other farming machinery. As an advanced service technician, you will be responsible for independently diagnosing, servicing, and performing advanced repairs and maintenance on both customer- and dealer-owned agricultural equipment. While you will be expected to work independently, guidance and support from the Service Manager may be available when needed. The role also includes ongoing training to ensure that you remain up-to-date with industry standards and continue to hold relevant certifications.

Responsibilities: - Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and outdoor power equipment.
- Participate in service training programs to continuously develop technical skills and product knowledge.
- Diagnose and repair equipment both in the shop and in the field as required.
- Complete all necessary reports and forms associated with service work.
- Track and account for time and materials used during job completion.
- Stay current with product knowledge and competitor products.
- Maintain the condition of company vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment when necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and work in a safe manner at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements: - Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Diesel Mechanics or a related field.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience in the repair of power or agricultural equipment, with knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in the industry.
- Must have your own tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and the ability to use diagnostic tools.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment for diagnostic purposes.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to lift at least 75-100 lbs on occasion.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test prior to employment.
